A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
On behalf of the Beta Omicron chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta, welcome! My name is Natalie Goodman and I am the current chapter President of Kappa Alpha Theta here at the University of Iowa. Kappa Alpha Theta was the first Greek-letter fraternity for women and was founded on our four main values: scholarship, leadership, service, and sisterhood. The women of Beta Omicron continuously exemplify these values and persistently strive to become leading women, not only within our chapter and at the University of Iowa, but also in all aspects of life.
Coming into college I was skeptical of joining Greek Life. But after coming to Theta I knew I had found a place where I was comfortable being myself. Within Theta our members are encouraged to be themselves and get involved on campus with anything they have a passion for. We have members involved in the University’s most prestigious organizations such as: the Panhellenic Executive Council, Rho Lambda Honors Fraternity, University of Iowa Student Government, and Dance Marathon. We continuously place higher than the all-women and all-sorority grade point averages and hold one of the top GPAs among other Panhellenic chapters at the University.
I am so thankful I decided to go through Fall Formal Recruitment. I never would have pictured myself in a sorority and now find myself as the president of 178 leading women. Theta has given me much more than I could have ever imagined. It has lead me to a lifetime of sisterhood, experiences, and self empowerment.
I encourage you to explore our website to learn what makes the Beta Omicron chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta so unique. Thanks again for visiting and check back often for new information about what we’ve been up to!
