Beta Omicron Chapter University of Iowa

Welcome to Theta!

Bid Day 2017 - Video Link:

On behalf of the Beta Omicron chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta, welcome! My name is Whitney Fuller and I have the pleasure of serving as the current President of Kappa Alpha Theta here at the University of Iowa. Kappa Alpha Theta was the first Greek-letter fraternity for women and was founded on four main values: scholarship, leadership, service, and sisterhood. The women of Beta Omicron continuously exemplify these values and persistently strive to become leading women, not only on the University of Iowa campus, but in all realms of life.

Each day, I am inspired by the women of Beta Omicron. I am eager to lead such an exceptional group of women. At the University of Iowa, members of the Beta Omicron chapter are encouraged to pursue leadership positions on and off campus. We have members involved in the University’s most prestigious organizations such as: the Panhellenic Executive Council, Rho Lambda Honors Fraternity, University of Iowa Student Government, and Dance Marathon. We continuously place higher than the all-women and all-sorority grade point averages and remain among the top GPAs among other Panhellenic chapters at the University.

When I began my journey at the University of Iowa, I was positive I wanted to get involved in campus activities and join a sorority. I never expected my experience in Theta to influence my time at the University in so many meaningful ways.  My experience in Kappa Alpha Theta has provided me with endless opportunities and everlasting relationships that I cannot imagine myself without.

Kappa Alpha Theta is more than just a collegiate experience, it is a lifetime of sisterhood, experiences, and self empowerment. While serving as president, I hope to encourage and highlight these individual strengths that bind our chapter together as one.

I encourage you to explore our website to learn what makes the Beta Omicron chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta so unique. Thanks again for visiting and check back often for new information about what we've been up to!
